Vinnies Local Area Coordinators - winning together

Last year St Vincent de Paul was awarded the NDIS contract to deliver Local Area Coordinator services across parts of NSW.

Since the very beginning, LACs have been union building and working together to make sure that their voices are heard as Vinnies navigate this new work.

Already members have been able to inform policies around banking hours and car usage but now have their sights on consistency in pay and conditions.

Our claim for consistency
LAC delegates have been holding meetings and discussions with members about how the LAC role is changing and the demands and responsibilities are increasing.

We have approached Vinnies about holding a round table meeting of delegates and senior management to discuss this to which Vinnies have agreed.

Over the next couple of weeks, delegates will be talking to members to make sure their stories are heard at the meeting.
