Voting for the new Sydney Water Enterprise Agreement is now open and continues all week closing at 10 am, Monday 26 June 2017.
Job security in Treatment and Civil Maintenance
For the last six months, members in Civil Maintenance and Treatment have been facing the prospect of being outsourced.
Members are proud to work for Sydney Water but are concerned that our world class, safe clean drinking water, rivers, and beaches are being put at risk through privatisation.
In Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Illawarra, members are voting YES for the new Sydney Water Enterprise Agreement to deliver Job Security for ASU members in Civil Maintenance and Treatment because It’s Not Sydney Without Sydney Water.
If the new Sydney Water Enterprise Agreement is approved, members in Treatment and Civil Maintenance will remain in-house for at least the next three years.
We must continue to campaign to keep Sydney Water in public hands
Our campaign to save Sydney Water from privatisation has been successful so far but we need to continue fighting to keep Sydney Water safe beyond the next three years.
